Store grains, bread and flour in airtight containers or in the refrigerator or freezer.

'Proofing' - Seal all unnecessary holes to the house, roof (including broken tiles) and sub-floor (this also applies to possum and bird infestations).

Make sure there are no animals inside when proofing the house as they may die before they escape.

Install guards on gutter pipes to stop rodents climbing up them.
